Iselin Jansen Ruiz
Founder and manager of Norwegian Rhythm Production. Iselin started dancing when she was 4 years old. She has a comprehensive education in tap dance, mambo, ballet, jazz, hiphop, salsa and house. And she has been teaching dance for over 14 years.
Iselin is the director and founder of Norway's first international tap dance festival, Tap Oslo. https://www.taposlo.com. Iselin has studied under Sarah Reich and her "Tap Music Project" in Los Angeles. where she has also done several shows. She is active in the international environment in tap dance and salsa, and runs her own management agency «Norwegian Rhythm production». The agency represents international dancers in Oslo and organizes concerts around the festival Tap Oslo.
Furthermore, Iselin has taught and performed with tap dance, house/hiphop and salsa, in among others Barcelona, Stockholm, Los Angeles, London, New York and Helsinki. In Norway, she has taught at professor level at Norwegian acting academy, The Norwegian theater school, Norwegian Ballet Institute and Music theater Forum and is active with television and own show concerts. She started her own Tap- and jazz dance company in 2019, Allure Tap company. She and Alexis is the owner of Norway's only tapdance school, Tickle Toes.
Now she is producing music and choreographies with her husband, Alexis Ruiz. On several occasions, she has performed self-composed works with Alexis on Nordic Salsa Experience, Sverige danser, Mambo revolution (stockholm) and more. She has also had the opportunity to perform with Alexis and his company at larger salsa congresses around europe. She has also been teaching mambo and showteams as a substitute for Alexis the last years in amongst others, Bodensee Salsa congress (germany).
In addition, Iselin is educated at Bilder Nordic School of Photography and has worked as a freelance dance photographer since 2012. She holds a BA in Psychology, diploma in pedagogy and is currently taking a masters in Law.
